Born and raised in Ottawa, Dr. Demetri Dalekos founded D+A Wellness Centre, committed to providing a welcoming healthcare clinic for his community. Our clinic advocates for equality and welcomes people from all walks of life.
Some of our patients are already familiar with our clinic, formerly known as the Rideau Wellness Centre for more than 35 years. Our name has changed but our philosophy remains the same. We are pleased to continue to provide chiropractic, dietetic, massage therapy, and pedorthic care for our long-standing patients in our well-established practice. We are pleased to have Dr. Gauthier continue to work with us.

Dr. Demetri Dalekos
CHIROPRACTOR, FOUNDER D+A WELLNESS CENTRE
Demetri Dalekos played many different sports growing up and developed a passion for hockey and football. Dr. Demetri had a successful football career playing fullback for Team Ontario and the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees, and experienced numerous injuries and surgeries. His background led him to have a keen interest in treating athletes, as well as treating spinal and extremity dysfunction, and myofascial pain.
During his time with the Gee-Gees, Dr. Demetri earned his BSc in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa. He then hung up his cleats and pursued his dream of becoming a Chiropractor and graduated from New York Chiropractic College with Academic honours.

If Dr. Demetri is not treating patients, you’ll most likely find him in the gym pursuing his passion for exercise and healthy living.
Ellen Young
REGISTERED DIETITIAN
Ellen is a Registered Dietitian with a unique set of skills that will support you in achieving and maintaining your personalized nutrition goals- working collaboratively with your body, your mind, your activity level, and your lifestyle. New on the RD scene, she embodies a fresh approach on what being a dietitian means. With an anti-diet philosophy, she practices client- centred, empathetic care. Factor in her 4+ years of clinical in-patient experience that will help guide you and manage a variety of disease/conditions; you’ll have access to the full scope of medical nutrition therapy at D+A Wellness. A thorough and realistic approach in a positive and judgement-free zone await you in working with Ellen. On weekends, you can find her playing the guitar, trying out a new recipe for Sunday dinner, or hanging out in the sun with her friends.
Sal Sabbagh
CANADIAN CERTIFIED PEDORTHIST
With the retirement of Dr. Jean-Francois Gauthier, Sal has assumed ownership of Rideau Orthotics, carrying forward its commitment to quality care and expanding services to support clients in moving with comfort and confidence
Originally from Lebanon, Sal launched his first shoe repair business in 1989 while studying Business at the American University of Beirut.
After spending several years in the footwear industry, he developed a growing interest in how specialized footwear can help improve one’s biomechanics and overall quality of life. This passion led him to advance his studies in France, where he pursued prosthetics, orthotics, and pedorthics. In 1994, he graduated from the Prosthetic Orthotic program and went on to establish his own orthopedic clinic in Beirut.
With 14 years of experience already behind him, Sal moved to Canada in 2008, where he earned his diploma in Pedorthics. Since then, Sal has continued to apply his expertise as a Certified Pedorthist to support clients with their mobility and foot health needs.

Lori MacKay
REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST
Lori MacKay has been a full-time Registered Massage Therapist for 13 years. She graduated from Kine-Concept Massage School in Ottawa in 2007, which included training in Swedish Massage, NMT (Neuromuscular Technique), Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy and Remedial Exercise.
Lori is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and is an active member of the Ontario Massage Therapist Association.
An avid hiker and kayaker, Lori loves to stay active.
Stephanie Ng
Chiropractic Health Assistant
Stephanie has a background in Biology and Physiology. After earning her degree in Biology from the University of Ottawa, she pursued her interest in healthcare by joining the D+A Wellness Centre Team. With a strong foundation in science and a genuine commitment to patient care, Stephanie is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and well-supported.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time outdoors. She’s also a big hockey fan and loves catching games whenever she can.
